    Step 1: Awareness Building

Awareness Building is the first step of the PMO Flywheel. The core purpose of this step is to promote the PMO's value across the organization and build trust.

    Proactive Communication

The PMO must communicate proactively about its purpose, capabilities, and achievements. This is not a passive "we're here" approach but an active "here's the value we can deliver" message. Communication channels include: newsletters, presentations, intranet content, success stories, and face-to-face meetings.

    Visibility and Accessibility

The PMO should not hide behind processes and reports — it should be visible and accessible. Potential customers should easily reach the PMO, and PMO services should be transparently understood.

    Continuous Activity

Awareness building is not a one-time campaign but a continuous activity. New people, new projects, and new needs constantly emerge in the organization. The PMO must keep pace with this dynamism and sustain awareness efforts.
