    Step 5: Service Onboarding

Service Onboarding is the process of introducing developed services to customers and making them available for use. This step is critically important for service adoption.

    Launch Strategy

Service onboarding requires a planned launch strategy. This includes identifying the target audience, communication plan, training program, and preparing support mechanisms. First impressions matter — a poor onboarding experience negatively impacts long-term service adoption.

    Training and Support

Adequate training and support must be provided for customers to use the new service effectively. Training materials, user guides, FAQs, and live support channels should be prepared.

    Phased Rollout

In large organizations, phased service rollout is recommended. Starting with the most willing and ready customers creates early wins and strengthens the service's reputation.
